Sauti Sol

Sauti Sol is a Kenyan afro-pop band formed in Nairobi by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, and Savara Mudigi in 2005. Sauti Sol released their debut studio album Mwanzo on 1 November 2008, to critical acclaim. Their second studio album, Sol Filosofia, was released on 25 February 2011, earning the group a number of accolades and nominations. Their third studio album, titled Live and Die in Afrika, was released online on 21 November 2015. The band has had several successful tours in Africa and Europe, topped Kenyan charts and gained international attention with shows in Europe and the US, as well as television appearances and various accolades and nominations, including their 2011 concert performance in Kenya with South African acapella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The band has also received both local and international accolades and nominations like; Kisima Music Awards, Channel O Music Video Awards, MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act and BET Awards 2015.

Samini

SAMINI born Emmanuel Andrews Samini is a songwriter, performer, and recording artiste. He terms his brand of music Samini Music which is a mixture of African melodies, dancehall, reggae, hip-hop and R&B. The Capricorn star has shared the world music stage with the likes of Shaggy, Jay Z, Akon, Culture, Damian Marley, Beenie Man, Sean Paul, Kevin Little, Wayne Wonder, Chaka Demusand Pliers, Elephant Man, Steel Pulse, Kelly Rowland, [to mention a few], playing several concerts across Africa, USA, Europe and various international platforms.

Fena Gitu

Fena Gitu is a female singer – songwriter from Nairobi, Kenya. Having grown up in a musical household, Fena developed her passion for music at a tender age. In 2008, she won the “Fete de la Musique” singing competition at Alliance Francaise Nairobi, marking the beginning of a bright music career. Fena’s soulful sounds include hit singles such as ‘Fenamenal Woman’, her chart-topping singles ‘Africa Massive’ and ‘Dutch’ (featuring Kagwe Mungai and Toshi), and is now riding high on her new hit single with Electrique DJs, ‘Brikicho’. She is currently recording her debut album produced by Jaaz Odongo.  

Aramide

Aramide is a Multiple Award-Winning Nigerian Afro-Soul/Jazz artiste, guitarist and saxophonist. Her approach to song-writing and her soft but deep and powerful voice are some of the things that stand her out. Her musical influences include Erykah Badu, Sade, Angelique Kidjo. Winner of the 2016 Best Female Artist in West Africa at the All Africa Music Awards and 2016 Alternative Artist of The Year award at the Nigerian Entertainment Award Ever the avid performer, Aramide has performed in Nigeria, United Kingdom, Dubai, United States and Canada. Her debut album SUITCASE was released in November 2016 and features several chart-topping singles.

Nazizi

Nazizi Hirji is a reggae musician and an actress based in Kenya. She came to the limelight in the “9o’s” when she won the talent contest Da Show. In 2000 she joined necessary noize, a music band composed of Nazizi, Kevin Wyre and Bamzigi. She has since found success as a solo artist with singles like “Love Automatic” and “254.” Nazizi has curtain raised for international artists Sean Paul and Wayne Wonder in Kenya, Akon in Tanzania and Uganda, Marlon Asher in Uganda and most recently Julian Marley and Andrew Tosh in Ethiopia. She has toured 6 American states and 5 European countries in the last two years. Nazizi has also hosted the H2O TV music show on KTN and NATURAL MYSTIC a reggae show on NATION FM. In 2005 she represented Kenya in the AFRICA UNITE tour in Ethiopia with the Marley’s.

Mr. Reed

Mr. Reed creates art through the lens of his African-American and global experience as a lyricist, composer, producer, drummer, speaker, entrepreneur, creative, community activist and inventor of his musical instrument called, #MrReedsTripKit.  Mr. Reed’s career and brand have grown significantly across social media from his rigorous touring around the world, along with his unique 7 registers and 5-octave vocal range. Mr. Reed has collaborated with brands such as Adidas and Facebook; along with the serving as a brand ambassador for the 2012-2014 television, radio, online and print marketing campaigns for the instrument retail company, Guitar Center.  

Draze

Draze is emerging from the vibrant Seattle Scene fueled and building on the legacy of several mainstream Seattle artists. Draze recently found a national audience with the release of his song and video, Seattle Sweeties, dedicated to celebrating the diversity of women. As a result, Draze created a movement that included his own series of cupcakes in partnership with cupcake giant Cupcake Royale. Draze also received national recognition for his song and video, The Hood Ain’t The Same, which targets the issue of gentrification in urban America.
